A World of Friendship and Adventure Awaits!

Healing and our Home Planet -
Welcome to a place that has cultivated growing food, apple trees, and gathering together for over 40 years. Yes, this will be a different Summer but campers will still explore the farm and forest; and try their hand at artistic expression and theater production. We will celebrate life and care for  the earth. We stand with all families from urban and rural communities and we learn from the wisdom of ethnic and indiginous cultures.

This summer our core staff Amy Erard, Earl Smith, Yumiko Sandoe, Gillian Atkinson Roberts, Maria Orsatti and Eleanor Elbers will lead camp weeks with support from teachers and teen interns. We will be joined by guest eco-educators, farmers, artisans, drummers, and dancers.
The Orchard School welcomes campers with different abilities and special needs.

Embark with us into the world of Elves, Dryads, and Gnomes to discover this magical world with your friends.

Field Games and Soccer (Ages 7 - 10) It is all fun and games for this week. Campers learn to cooperate with their peers, improve their endurance, and learn some fancy footwork. Farm Camp (Ages 5 - 8)  Organic agriculture and local food production has become a national inspiration. In the midst of high summer the gardens and fields explode with sustenance and food. This week we have scavenger hunts in the garden, and dig deep into the soil and life that nourishes our bodies. Campers take part in daily farm chores: collecting eggs, feeding animals, and working in the gardens. Eating farm fresh snacks is the yummiest part of this camp. Cooling off at the pond will be daily fare.
