Announcing “The Center at Orchard Hill”!

Hello friends of The Orchard School!
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you. We have created a new website and updated our name to The Center at Orchard Hill. We are a community center as we have always been! Our organization, at its roots, really hasn’t changed that much. As always, we are a place to come and be in community. As always, we invite and encourage everyone to come participate. As always, we create multi-generational and cross-cultural programming. As always, we nurture and are nurtured by this land.

From 1991 - 2016 the core of who we served were the youngest ones and their families. Since 2016 we have expanded our programming to serve all ages. Our summer (registration coming very soon; scholarships available) and vacation day camp programs are stronger than ever. Register for April vacation camp now! We have many community programs, classes and events. We host a cooperative preschool that is run by parents. The garden cooperative works the Orchard Hill gardens. We have weekly programs like yoga, Orisha dance class, and shape note singing. We host a monthly makers day, and a monthly mending day through the cold months. We host annual festivals and events for the community. The Orchard Hill Quakers have been meeting here each Sunday since 2017. The possibilities for what can happen here when we work and play together are inspiring!

We are excited to be offering our space as a retreat and banquet center for organizations, individuals, and families. Many retreats have been held here already and this aspect of what we do is growing. Reach out to host your event here!

We genuinely hope you will explore our new website and we invite you to join us in creating a vibrant community by getting involved in what is already happening here. Even more, we invite you to be a part of creating what happens here by hosting your own event, party, class, or retreat, etc.

— Eleanor and Andrea, Center Directors
